Life Beyond the Prize
I bet you’ve heard the phrase, “life is a journey” 🙂 Even my Instagram description said that a while ago. But I want to take it a step further and say: life is not just a journey, it’s a process. It’s an unfolding.
However, most of the time, we get fixated on a specific prize and a specific route to that prize, and we start keeping score—checking whether we’re getting closer or not.
But there’s a prize before the prize, the prize itself, and there will be another prize after it too. 🙂 There are always signs and evidences of a manifestation before it fully materializes.
Since we don’t know through which path it will unfold, life often takes us on an unexpected route before our desires arrive.
But when we fixate on the end result and believe we can finally breathe only when it arrives, it won’t take long for that peaceful feeling to be disrupted—by the next wave of improvements or adjustments already lining up to be manifested.
For example, if you want to run your own business, it’s a sure thing—you can absolutely achieve it. It’s already given. Whatever we desire, we have what it takes to make it happen.
But from the limited perspective of our logical minds, we can’t always foresee what needs to happen first to get us there.
We might first need to feel the contrast of where we currently are and then find clarity and come up with a roadmap.
That contrast might show us the need to be more disciplined, eat healthier to feel energized, or fix a relationship to stop leaking our energy.
As a result, we may find ourselves taking steps in seemingly unrelated areas like health or relationships—even though we initially thought signing up for a business course would be enough. But it’s not always that straightforward.
Because life is an unfolding.
Imagine watching a rose bloom in the morning sun. We may guess when it might open, but we’ll never know which petal will unfold first.
Our journeys are just like that. And if we fixate on which petal should open first—and how happy we’ll be when it does—we miss the beauty of the entire unfolding, like the petals of the rose opening one by one.
The destination is often certain. But there’s always a destination before the destination, and more waiting for us right after we arrive at the one we’ve longed for.
So never feel inadequate just because you’re at a milestone that came before the “final” manifestation. Don’t feel like you’re falling short. Don’t pressure yourself or fall into the illusion that no matter how much you achieve, the prize keeps moving further away.
Because that’s exactly what it is—an illusion.
Just as time is an illusion and not truly linear, our manifesting journey is also not linear. In fact, the real truth is: the journey never ends.
Let me leave you with one question to ponder: “If the version of me who already lives in their fully manifested reality were here today—how would they show up differently?”
Much Love ❤️
