The Book Thinking Mind by Thomas Sterner talks about the importance of process over the end goal or the outcome.

Our soul’s highest intention is to learn, grow, and evolve—returning closer to Source, to Oneness.

The soul does not care about time. Time is eternal to it. Whether evolution happens in this lifetime or another is irrelevant from the soul’s perspective. But as humans, we do care—because our time in this physical vessel is finite, at least with our current understanding of life.

The soul also doesn’t attach itself to the physical goals we pursue. What it truly values is the wisdom that emerges through living those experiences.

If we live the same emotional patterns day after day—dwelling in lack, self-pity, frustration, anger, or victimhood—our soul cannot evolve. It cannot turn the page to its next chapter if we keep looping the same feelings and reacting from the past. When we remain emotionally stuck, we restrict the soul’s purpose in this 3D experience.

The soul cares less about your to-dos and more about who you become through them. If your goals only feed your ego, they do not contribute to your eternal journey. Divine intelligence does not reinforce pursuits rooted solely in ego, which is why they often fail to bring joy or fulfillment. They become endless loops.

If your goal is to be a successful businessperson, yet your only metric of success is money, that pursuit is empty at the soul level.

If you live according to the expectations of society or your parents, even though your inner knowing points elsewhere, your soul’s evolution lies beyond those expectations.

This life is rich with infinite possibilities. We can desire countless things—but if we forget why we desire them, we lose the essence and nourishment behind our dreams.

Evolution does not mean ignoring our physical desires. On the contrary—meaningful physical experiences are the soul’s curriculum. But here is the key:

When you pursue a goal without clinging to the outcome, and focus instead on who you are becoming through the process, you start playing the game the way your soul intended.

I am currently reading The Practicing Mind by Thomas Sterner. He explains learning and achievement through a spiritual lens.

He says there are two principles for living in presence:

  1. Work toward your goal without expecting salvation from its achievement.
  2. Be process-oriented rather than outcome-oriented.

“When you let go of your attachment to the object you desire and make your desire the ‘experience’ of staying focused on working toward that object, you fulfill that desire in every minute that you remain patient with your circumstances.”

In manifestation, we don’t actually want the thing—we want to become the version of ourselves who naturally holds that reality. What we long for is the beingness, the inner capacity to receive and sustain what we desire.

And that becoming unfolds through practice.
Through devotion to the process.
Through compassionate self-observation and gentle realignment—without judgment.

Every adjustment, every lesson, every moment of patience along your path is the soul evolving.

When you prioritize soul-growth, the physical manifestations naturally follow.

As above, so below ✨
