The Tender Edge of Becoming

“You must find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible.” Deepak Chopra

This HeartNotes was born from a moment of honesty. I noticed that while my dreams feel clear, a part of me still finds safety in the familiar.

Sometimes what holds us back isn’t fear of failureit’s fear of becoming someone new. This note came from sitting with that edge.

A cozy living room in the evening, featuring a light fixture, a large piece of abstract art on the wall, a beige sofa, a wooden coffee table with candles, and a laptop on the table. Soft curtains cover a window that allows some light to filter through.

Where do I write this HeartNotes now 💌🥰

As personal as this feels, I know this isn’t just mine.

Many of us stand at this edge — reach a moment where growth asks us to loosen our grip on who we’ve been.

Wanting more, yet feeling a quiet pull toward the familiar. If you’ve ever felt that hesitation, you’re not behind.

Maybe I’m afraid of being her.
The version of me who lives as if her desires are already realized.

Maybe I’m afraid of losing this identity.
It has been with me for so long.

Maybe I’m afraid of losing the familiar version of my life — the patterns, the rhythms, the ways of being that have shaped me until now.

Even if they’ve only given me the bare minimum, at least they’ve given me something solid to hold onto.

There is a strange safety in the familiar.
I know who I am here.
I know how this version of life works.

But when I step into fullness — into a new state of being, a new identity — I don’t yet know what version of life will meet me there.
What kind of reality responds to me.
What kind of experiences, opportunities, connections, or expressions unfold.

And yet, something in me knows — probably and highly likely — that it would be an amazing version.

But that requires courage.
The courage to let the old self dissolve.
To release old habits, old patterns, old ways of operating.
To believe before seeing.
To stay in the unknown for a while.

To be willing to feel “naked.”

It requires increasing my capacity to believe.
To believe in the dream.
To keep the emotions alive so the vision can stay alive.

Because right now, there is no real evidence that things aren’t working.
Only the mind is searching for certainty.
Only the familiar is trying to keep me safe.

And maybe this phase isn’t about forcing proof —
but about gently expanding my nervous system, my faith, and my willingness to live from what I know is possible, even before it becomes visible…

With so much warmth & love ❤️🎄
