We’re welcoming the Year of the Horse in a few days, according to the Lunar calendar.

I didn’t know this before, but a horse’s heart generates an electromagnetic field up to 5× larger than a human heart. This field radiates outward and influences anyone around it. It is said that this year will amplify what’s in your heart — and it won’t be felt only by you.

I’m a Horse by birth sign, so I’m especially excited for this year 🙂 🐎

This year promises steady and powerful starts and strong momentum. Yet I know that no matter how much power we have, it won’t mean much unless we have a solid foundation to support steady growth.

If the foundation is shaky, you’ll be spinning your wheels with no real progress.

Foundations are the heart of every leap we make.
They are like the homes we return to at the end of each day. No matter how productive or powerful a day we have, we all need to restore and replenish to continue the next one.

Foundations work the same way. They ensure our strength and efforts become sustainable and supported by the heart. And this can only happen when we live with an open heart.

❤️ If you want to live with an open heart, read these slowly:

1- If you can’t be honest, you can’t be intimate.

2- You can spend hours in an argument, or you can share one honest, tender truth.

3- What protects you from pain also protects you from love. What shields you from rejection also shields you from connection.

4- Most triggers are pointing to hurt that still hasn’t been integrated.

5- If you want to let go, fall in love with the part of you holding on. Love softens the fear that causes us to grip.

6- A closed heart feels like control. An open heart feels like surrender.

7- You can be a kind person and still stand up for yourself. Kindness and boundaries are not mutually exclusive.

8- Resentment is often a sign that you abandoned yourself somewhere.

9- The heart quiets the fear in the mind so we can hear the voice of our soul.

10- The more you accept your flaws, the less you need to hide.

11- Hyper-independence is often unprocessed fear of abandonment.

12- The walls that kept you safe will also keep you lonely.

13- Real strength is the willingness to feel.

14- Most conflict is two nervous system systems trying to feel safe.

15- The heart closes in shame and opens in acceptance.

16- Apologizing doesn’t make you weak. It makes you trustworthy.

17- When you stop trying to be impressive, you become connectable.

18- Openness is not a trait. It’s a practice.

19- The moment you stop trying to control how you’re perceived is the moment the walls around your heart can relax.

20- The less you avoid discomfort, the less it’s subconsciously directs your life.

21- You don’t need to fix your emotions. You need to fill them with love.

22- The part of you that shuts down is trying to protect something tender.

23- An open heart doesn’t mean trusting everyone. It means trusting yourself.

24- The heart closes in comparison and opens in gratitude.

25- If you can say “That hurt,” without doubling down on defensiveness, it’s a big sign that you’re growing.

26- You don’t heal by forcing yourself to be positive. You heal by being present with the thing you wish you didn’t have to deal with.

27- The more you approve of yourself, the less you need applause.

28- Control is fear masquerading as logic.

29- Softening is not weakness. It is self connection.

30- You cannot grow people without villainizing them.

31- If you’re exhausted, check how much you’re performing.

32- The longer you avoid a feeling, the more it contorts your life.

33- The heart closes quickly and reopens slowly. Be patient.

34- You can disagree and still stay open.

35- You can stay open and still walk away.

36- Keeping your heart open is one of the most courageous things you can do ❤️

The full credit for these 36 points goes to Corry Muscara. They’re from his New Age reflections. I am going to be 36 this year, too, and it all landed beautifully for me. I hope they do for you as well…
